  • Integrating hardware for human presence detection to reduce energy usage by a factor of 100 with an existing product.

Milwaukee Tool
Electrical Engineering Intern (20022)

  • Performed competitive analysis for the Battery Energy System Technology Team.
  • Conducted teardowns, discharge/charge testing and thermal testing on competitors’ batteries and chargers using DaisyLab equipment, electronic loads, and thermal chambers.
  • Trained on handling and dismantling live batteries between 20V-60V.
  • Presented progress of summer project to both the department and entire cohort of 200+ interns.

Northwestern Formula Racing
Hardware Lead, (2022 – Present)

  • Managed a collegiate team of over 20 members designing, manufacturing, and operating all hardware electrical systems on an electric drivetrain vehicle for the national Formula SAE competition through Northwestern University.
  • Educated 10+ members in EAGLE PCB design.
  • Developed LV Systems and Architecture for Northwestern Formula Racing’s first EV with a custom electronic throttle control system, power distribution module, dashboard display, two CAN buses, multiple other sensors, and a fully wrapped electrical harness.
  • Obtained a perfect score during competition’s design judging.

Power Inverter Lead, (2021 – 2022)

  • Leading research for future manufacturing of a three-phase power inverter to drive an AC motor.
  • Designing Gate Drivers and Microcontroller circuits.
  • Incorporating safety features such as desaturation detection, overcurrent, and overvoltage protection.
  • Planning and conducting testing to ensure quality, safety, and integrity of manufactured components.

Electronics Shifting Lead Designer, (2020 – 2021)

  • Optimized and upgraded previous year’s PCB while gaining proficiency in EAGLE.
  • Introduced MOSFETS for faster and more efficient switching when shifting and ignition cutting.
  • Reduced size of last year’s PCB by 13% while increasing board complexity and allowing options for additional auxiliary functions.
  • Planned and conducted testing for quality and reliability.

Bio-Inspired Sensors and Optoelectronics Lab (BISOL)
Research Assistant, (2021)

  • Researched and tested PCBs to aid in the use of advanced photonic devices.
  • Developed an understanding of a 100MHz high frequency laser for later use on 3D cameras in a system similar to LIDAR.
